Human Factors for Air Traffic Control

This five-day course aims to impart knowledge and understanding of human performance relevant to Air Traffic Control (ATC) based on the curriculum proposed in ICAO Doc 9683 Human Factors Training Manual, which will meet the "knowledge requirement" for ATC licensing.

• Introduction to human factors in aviation
• Liveware — hardware (controller-equipment relationship)
• Liveware — software (controller-software relationship)
• Liveware — liveware (interpersonal relations)
• Liveware — environment (the organisational environment)
• The human element (aviation physiology)
• The human element (aviation psychology)

Remarks

• Delegates should be proficient in English to the Operational Level (L4)
