Overview of Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting Emergency Response Facilities

This three-day course aims to briefly describe the principal objective of rescue and firefighting services of a Category-10 airport as well as the establishment and provision of emergency response facilities in accordance with ICAO SARPs. In addition, special procedures and equipment capable of an effective emergency rescue operation in complex environments (e.g. aircraft accidents over water) will be discussed. The course also introduces the setting of temporary medical services and rescue and firefighting facilities during constructing the Three-Runway System. Technical visits to Airport Fire Contingent and Sea Rescue Berth are included to offer participants experience of the daily operation of an extensive airport rescue and firefighting services.
