This five-day (30 hours) course provides participants with the principles of First Aid. The course recognises and practices First Aid treatments such as CPR techniques and introduces hands-on practice for First Aid treatment in special circumstances.

- The structure and the functions of the body
- Dressings & bandages          
- Asphyxia        
- Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for adult and infant
- Management of airway obstruction in adult and infant
- Wounds, bleeding & circulatory failure
- Shock & fainting
- Injuries to bones
- Injuries to muscles, ligaments & joints
- The nervous system & unconsciousness
- Burns & scalds
- Poisoning
- Procedure at road accidents

- Candidates who pass the examination will be awarded the "Certificate in First Aid" recognised by the HKSAR. The certificate is valid for three years
