This ten-day course introduces the airworthiness principles for all activities associated with civil aircraft and the principles of the regulatory system concept concerning aircraft design, manufacturing, modification, operation, management, and maintenance.
The course covers the background of current airworthiness regulations, aspects of design, certification, and operation. A common thread will run through the whole course, taking in Type Certification (TC), Supplemental Type Certification (STC), changes (modifications) and repairs at all levels, approval systems to support Design, Production for the TC holder, Operational Approvals, Continued Airworthiness Management under Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) through maintenance activities of HKAR-145, and the certification of personnel through HKAR-66 and HKAR-147.
In practice, communicating with different organisations that have their own airworthiness responsibilities was required. This guide provides current practical applications and guidance on effectively understanding the regulatory principles and responsibilities for all airworthiness-related approvals and standards.
The course is interactive, with groups and personnel from different backgrounds. It thoroughly explains airworthiness, whether in Hong Kong, EASA, or any other civil aviation regulatory system.
