This three-day course serves as Part 1 of the Aircraft Incident Investigation course and aims to equip participants with essential skills in collecting evidence, conducting interviews and analysing data, through practices.
The quality of one organisation’s investigations depends on the investigators’ capabilities, and professional investigation training is essential. The course provides participants with technical knowledge and skills about incident investigations, helping them to apply this know-how to their organisations. Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to perform small-scale safety investigations as part of a team in their organisation.
Through discussions, case studies and group exercises, participants will become familiar with the objectives of a safety investigation, the roles and responsibilities of a safety investigation team, human factors perspectives, the techniques of safety investigation interviews, different approaches to data analysis, and collaboration with other parties.
